The Georgia congresswoman continues to up the ante, doesn’t she?
Since her rise to power, it seems we can’t go more than a couple of weeks without Congresswoman Greene saying or doing something in an effort to garner praise from her base and notoriety from the rest of us. Well yesterday, video circulated of Greene literally appearing to be kicking the legs of a Gen Z guns rights activist.
By circulate, I mean Greene literally tweeted out the video herself.
The video is exactly what you would expect in terms of her behavior throughout, of course. Aside from literally kicking someone or at the very least intentionally stepping on their heels, she was yelling at them to move out of the country, flailing her arms declaring that gun-free zones kill people, and murder is illegal.
It was…surreal.
Ah, but I’m sure it was a good Christian kick, right? Really exemplary, Jesus-like behavior, no?
It would be funny if she weren’t the top Republican fundraiser in congress, with a message that resonates with their base. What is this woman still doing in power? She is literally nothing more than a right wing troll paid by the taxpayer to spew nothing but hateful nonsense, proudly tweeting out videos of her shouting at and physically assaulting guns rights activists.
Could you possibly imagine if the roles were reversed, and it was, say, Adam Schiff for example who had confronted a right winger who had approached him in this way? Could you imagine what she would say when she saw the video if he had kicked them? It would be news for weeks and there would be no escaping it, and he would be forced to resign from his position in disgrace.
Maybe that’s what’s getting to me about this more than anything else. I am so sick and tired of the disparity. The uneven playing field. The behavior that they are allowed to exhibit and the rhetoric they are able to put out on a consistent basis.
