She desperately wants to be Trump’s VP, and she’s falling right into his trap.

There’s been a lot of talk about Marjorie Greene lately, hasn’t there?

Whether it be her alliance with Kevin McCarthy and the rewards she has been given as a result, or the rumblings regarding her as a potential VP pick for Donald Trump, I’m sure Greene is absolutely relishing in the attention. But with the Republican Party taking the reins in the House, it has apparently become clear that the Georgia congresswoman does in fact have some pretty big plans for the future.

Plans that will almost inevitably come back to bite her.

Jonathan Allen with NBC writes:

“Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., is angling to be Donald Trump’s running mate in 2024, according to two people who have spoken to the firebrand second-term congresswoman about her ambitions.

“This is no shrinking violet. She’s ambitious — she’s not shy about that, nor should she be,” said Steve Bannon, the former top Trump aide who hosts the “Bannon’s War Room” podcast, on which Greene has been a guest.

“She sees herself on the short list for Trump’s VP. Paraphrasing Cokie Roberts, when MTG looks in the mirror she sees a potential president smiling back,” he added in an interview, referring to Roberts, the late political reporter who worked for NPR, ABC News and other outlets…”

It’s kind of incredible, really, how easily these people fall into Donald Trump’s traps.

After years of watching how this man operates, Greene has learned absolutely nothing, and I love it.

Since the reports that she was on Trump’s shortlist began to circulate, I just can’t shake the feeling that there’s absolutely no way it happens. Of course in the back of my mind I try to remind myself that Donald Trump hasn’t exactly proven himself a rational actor to say the least, but it’s just too hard for me to believe those close to him would let this happen. Not his top staff. Not Ivanka. Not Jared. Every single one of them is going to try to counsel him out of that decision.
