Let’s Talk About Doug Emhoff’s Democratic Convention Speech.

I really, really enjoyed it.

I didn’t watch all of night two of the Democratic convention, but I‘m sure I’m not alone and making a point of watching the final three speeches:

Kamala Harris’ husband Doug Emhoff, Michelle Obama, and Barack Obama.

Now to be clear, Michelle Obama stole the show. She is one of the most talented speakers I have ever listened to, and from beginning to end you could feel her presence and her words through the television screen. It was exceptionally beautiful, and somehow managed to exceed expectations.

Barack Obama was Barack Obama of course, with a speech that while it didn’t manage to top his wife’s, it had the desired effect on the crowd. Their message to allow people to feel the hope and enjoy this moment but also not to get complacent and work hard to see this election through was well recieved, and they certainly did their jobs last night.

But, lets talk about Kamala Harris’ husband Doug Emhoff and his convention speech that preceded them.

I genuinely enjoyed it. More than I thought I would.
