There have not been very many silver linings when it comes to the pandemic, but if nothing else the American workers, it seems, are finally coming to realize their own worth. Many are beginning to realize the power of withholding their labor, understanding that they deserve better than what so many employers offer. Of course, equally as important is the fact that when it comes to the problems facing themselves personally as well as the country, and increasing number are beginning to look up.

Throughout the pandemic we have lost hundreds of thousands of people and millions of others lost their jobs. Meanwhile, as so many are wondering how they’re going to provide for themselves and their families, the wealthy are only getting wealthier. As mothers and fathers wonder how they’re going to afford to buy their child the new clothes they need or pay the rent, Jeff Bezos nearly doubles his wealth and Elon Musk earns 36 billion in a single day.

Obviously, it should go without saying that some among the elite aren’t enjoying the extra attention. Among them would be billionaire investor and hedge fund manager, Leon Cooperman, who was recently lamenting the fact that the idea of a wealth tax is even being entertained.
