The billionaire’s Gofundme stunt had a lot of people talking.
Socialite, beauty mogul, and business woman Kylie Jenner has been facing some tough scrutiny on social media these days, and for good reason. After her makeup artist Samuel Rauda was reportedly in a serious accident, Kylie shared the $60,000 Gofundme his family had set up to pay for his brain surgery, posting an image of them together on her Instagram story and inviting her followers to click the link and donate. Kylie herself donated $5000.
Ms. Jenner herself is worth an estimated $900,000,000.
Incredibly and yet unsurprisingly, she cannot see the issue.
The LA Times reports that Jenner is dumbfounded, confused as to why everything got so “twisted”, and reiterating that everything she does comes from love. The thing is, tossing the equivalent of a five dollar bill in terms of her net worth towards funding for a critical brain surgery of someone who reportedly means a lot to her isn’t exactly loving. To top it off, she had the audacity to ask her followers, in the midst of a pandemic where tens of millions have lost their jobs, to foot the bill.
