Katie Porter’s Running For Senate, and Liberals Are Flustered About it.
Of course they are.
Well, it’s official! Representative Katie Porter has announced she is running for the California Senate seat in 2024. While she might not be perfect, no lawmaker is and it’s hard to think of a better candidate who could come out of the neoliberal cesspool that is California politics vying for this seat.
Of course, as to be expected, said liberals are already flustered about it.
It was been almost impossible to come across a mainstream media journalist sharing the story who hasn’t specifically pointed out the fact that she did not wait to hear what Diane Feinstein was going to do.
How dare she breach the proper “etiquette”, right?
Diane Feinstein is going to be 90 years old.
We need to be honest with ourselves. Why are we even entertaining the idea that she should be running again, even if she wanted to? Even setting the age of 90 aside, it’s probably worth noting that there have been widely reported concerns about her cognition and the forgetfulness that her staff and other lawmakers have been noticing.
