Kamala Harris Has Selected Governor Tim Walz as Her Running Mate.

It was the best pick she could have made, and I’m very happy with the decision.

Kamala Harris did it.

She actually did it.

After a couple of weeks of speculation and deliberation, Kamala Harris officially announced her running mate would be none other than Minnesota governor — and the most popular option among those on the left — Tim Walz.

Lauren Gambino and Melissa Hellmann with The Guardian writes:

“Kamala Harris introduced her running mate, Tim Walz, as “the kind of vice-president America deserves” at a raucous rally in Philadelphia that showcased Democratic unity and enthusiasm for the party’s presidential ticket ahead of the November election.

Casting their campaign as a “fight for the future”, Harris and Walz were repeatedly interrupted by applause and cheering as they addressed thousands of battleground-state voters wearing bracelets that twinkled red, white and blue at Temple University’s Liacouras Center — a crowd Harris’s team said was its largest to date.

“Thank you for bringing back the joy,” a beaming Walz told Harris after she debuted the little-known Minnesota governor as a former social studies teacher, high school football coach and a national guard veteran.

“We’ve got 91 days,” he declared. “My God, that’s easy. We’ll sleep when we’re dead.”…”

For me personally, Walz was the guy. He was the top guy, not even just for policy reasons but because of the energy that the left and the Democratic party overall has had around him. I could not be more thrilled that she picked him, and it’s nice to feel genuinely excited about something going on with Democratic politics again.

Even Kamala Harris’ energy when listening to Walz’s speech…you could feel that she knew she had made the right choice, and was very confident in it. I’m excited to see what he can bring to the table as a running mate, and it would certainly be fascinating to watch the debate between Walz and Trump’s running mate J.D. Vance. A running mate who shall we say has undeniably had the opposite effect on the campaign.

If we’re being honest, has anything good come for the Trump campaign since the announcement that Vance was his running mate? It feels as though at least a couple days a week there’s more negative press and that it’s only a matter of time before he’s going to wish he had chosen someone else, if he doesn’t already.

While it almost feels as though things couldn’t be going smoother for Democrats, the energy couldn’t be more different with the Republicans. It’ll be interesting to see what changes they make to address what’s going on, but I personally have never felt more convinced that Kamala Harris has an excellent shot to win this.
