Just How Scared Are Democrats of Zohran Mamdani in New York? They Want President Trump to Weigh in.

Well, the New York City mayoral race is taking yet another interesting turn.

It’s been possible to ignore the election in the country’s largest city, following the victory for progressive Zohran Mamdani in securing the Democratic nomination. Not only is someone unapologetically on the left and campaigning on issues such as freezing rent, but he beat one of the most prominent names in the Democratic Party trying to reinvigorate his political career…Andrew Cuomo.

Of course, the supposed “vote blue no matter who” milquetoast, establishment Democrats have been more than happy to watch Andrew Cuomo begin to campaign as an Independent anyways. But, the signs have clearly been there from the beginning that there’s not a very high level of confidence. Now, it’s reaching desperation.
