Josh Hawley’s Efforts to be the Next Donald Trump Are Failing. Miserably.

I came across a new poll that doesn’t bode well for the Missouri Senator.

If it wasn’t so concerning, it would almost be amusing to see so many Republican leaders attempting to emulate the style of Donald Trump in an effort to win their next elections and pursue higher positions of power within the party. One such politician of course has been Josh Hawley, the Republican Senator from Missouri. Trouble is, for him, the GOP’s base doesn’t appear to be buying it at all.

I happened to stumble across a tweet with recent polling for the 2024 GOP primary conducted by Morning Consult and Politico. Hawley was polling at 0%, above only Hogan and Rick Scott.

No one summed it up better than Aiden Smith, who wrote in response:

“Josh Hawley at 0% proves you can be a far-right lunatic and hit every ideological note with the GOP base and still get no support if you’re a dork who sounds annoying on camera.”

Josh Hawley quite literally could not have been a better ally to Donald Trump. He proved to be one of his most outspoken defenders before, in the midst of, and after…
