This man has absolutely no shame.

Of all the politicians in Washington, I think I’ve made it clear that there are few I despise more — at least among the Democrats — than West Virginia’s Joe Manchin. He has spent virtually the entirety of the Biden Presidency as the proud face of obstruction to virtually anything even remotely progressive that the administration might hope to accomplish. Paid family leave, robust climate legislation, a $15 minimum wage…he’s stood in the way of all of it, and happily. Manchin doesn’t even bother to hide the fact that his sole purpose in power right now is to serve the will of his donors, and stand in the way of anything that might help you.

Ah, but it gets better.

He wants CEOs to expect more from the politicians they bribe.

On a recent call with CEOs, Manchin is filmed saying:

“The investments you’ve made in politics from the Democrat side and the Republican side by asking nothing in return is a foolish investment, because you would never do that in your business world or your private life…”
