Joe Manchin is Attempting to Broaden His Influence in the House.

The right wing corporate democrat is more than happy to advise likeminded colleagues in the House.

There are few democratic lawmakers I disagree with or even dislike more than Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema, and the reasons why are too numerous to mention. But of course, high on the list currently would have to be their approach to the budget , or reconciliation bill, and the way they have decided to use their influence in order to serve as an obstacle to virtually every single priority of the left. The thing is, as House lawmakers return to D.C. to hash out the details of the $3.5 trillion budget and the blueprint that they voted to approve just today, none other than Joe Manchin is attempting to sway their decisions.

As those of us on the left were quick to notice, a handful of democrats in the House signed on to a letter urging Nancy Pelosi to bring the bipartisan bill up for a vote, expressing their wish that she not delay it with ironing out the details of the budget bill first as promised. They were undeterred by the reaction to the brazen nature of their actions, and the fact that we can all see they are hoping to get the bipartisan bill passed first so they can simply scrap or gut the budget bill after.
