Joe Manchin Helped the GOP Block a Bill That Would Guarantee Abortion Access.
The West Virginia Senator continues to show his true colors.
It feels as though Joe Manchin has spent the past year doing everything he conceivably can to make anyone even remotely on the left thoroughly despise the Democratic party, and recent polling seems to indicate it’s working. When asked what President Joe Biden — and by extension, the Democratic party — has accomplished, a staggering 56% of respondents said nothing.
I mean, they’re not wrong, and none other than Senator Manchin have certainly contributed to that reality. How can we argue otherwise, considering how he has taken it upon himself to proudly be the face of a broader obstructionist movement within the party to block things like the renewal of the child tax credit, expanded medicare and medicaid, higher wages, and other key issues? In fact, one might come to the conclusion that Manchin’s more of a Republican than anything else.
Of course, he’s at it again and this time Manchin is joining the GOP to block a bill that would guarantee abortion access if the right wing Supreme Court guts Roe vs. Wade.
