Joe Biden’s Definitely Not Getting My Vote in 2024.

Let me explain why.

Let me start by saying that I live in the state of New York.

I believe in voting strategically, particularly during the primaries. It’s certainly not healthy or productive to disengage entirely, so of course I will still be voting down ballot and aiding true, vetted progressives in their efforts to get elected. But, I have absolutely no intention of giving Joe Biden my vote.

I didn’t in 2020, either.

I was fortunate enough living in New York to feel not one second thought about writing in Bernie Sanders, and I absolutely will not apologize for it.

Frankly now, I have never, ever been more glad of that decision.

The true, final nail in the coffin for me came quite recently.

Personally, I’m still trying to come to terms with the reality that Roe vs. Wade has been overturned. It still has not sunk in. I keep going back and forth between raw anger, sadness, numbness and even denial. Just…grief. I’m still trying to process what this means for women all over the country, and the consequences it will bring for anyone living in a state where a uterus is considered government property to be heavily regulated.
