Joe Biden, an Unintended Gift to the Left?
We have to find silver linings somewhere.
Leading up to the 2020 election, it was and still remains clear that people wanted Donald Trump out of office, and absolutely, justifiably so. If the former President was unpopular before the pandemic there’s certainly no denying the sheer inability and unwillingness of his administration to lead us through it only served to further reinforce the determination to get him out of office, and it feels as though Donald Trump is the only one genuinely surprised by that reality. All that being said, there is no denying that Joe Biden’s Presidency thus far has been a devastating, infuriating disappointment for those of us on the left.
The interesting thing is though, as marginalized and on the fringe as mainstream media and the Democratic pundit class would lead us to believe we are, polling seems to agree with us.
Pew Research Center relayed some interesting data late last month, writing:
…Today, 41% of adults approve of Biden’s job performance, including 21% who say they strongly approve. In September, 44% approved of Biden, while 27% strongly approved.
Biden’s job approval numbers have declined across most demographic groups since September.
