January 6th, 2021 Must Stay With the Republican Party Forever.
A response to AOC’s revelations about what took place the day of the insurrection.
I’m not sure there are many who would deny that overall, the American people have short attention spans. Considering how we already seem to have moved on as a nation from the fact that the President of the United States incited a violent mob on January 6th to storm the capitol in a last fleeting attempt to retain power, I’m not sure there’s a lot out there that can get us to really stop, think, and reflect upon the gravity of a certain event or reality. On Instagram Live however, none other than Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez managed to draw our attention back to what took place that day, and the ramifications not only on her personally, but the country overall.
Recalling her experience and what happened to her personally on January 6th, AOC described in detail how she genuinely thought she was going to die. She described hiding in the bathroom, second guessing her decision to hide there and getting ready to go hide in the closet instead when she realized that whoever was trying to get inside her office had succeeded. Retreating back into the bathroom she hid behind the door, hearing repetitive yells of “where is she?”
