It’s not President Biden, it’s President Manchin.
Our de facto President has officially killed the Build Back Better Act.
In a short, incredible and revealing clip, Kamala Harris and an excerpt of her conversation with Charlamagne the God went viral after he asked her who was President, Joe Biden or Joe Manchin. After her team embarrassingly tried to get the interview shut down and pretend that they couldn’t hear him, Harris finally responded by quite literally pointing her finger at the screen, saying he sounded like a Republican, and proceeding to list off every policy proposal they’re theoretically fighting for but can’t get done because of Manchin. While her online fan club praised her performance, virtually no one else did and unfortunately for the Vice President, the idea that Manchin is the de facto President has only been reinforced this morning — yet again — by Manchin himself.
Manchin went on FOX News to essentially say that he is done negotiating, and will be voting no on the Build Back Better Agenda. While the bill was dead the moment it was voted on in the House, it’s surreal nonetheless to have a Democratic lawmaker go on national television to put the final nail in the coffin and do exactly what we predicted would happen. He got every single concession he wanted, and still decided to tank the bill.
