I don’t think anyone is particularly surprised to see the way former President and current leading candidate for the GOP, Donald J. Trump has handled recent events. Being found guilty of 34 felonies and being the first former President in American history to be a convicted felon is pretty surreal, but leave it to Trump to attempt to maximize the situation and use it to his advantage during these unprecedented times.

At this point, it definitely feels as though he’s essentially daring the justice system to hold him accountable.

Mia McCarthy with Politico writes:

“Former President Donald Trump said if he is put under house arrest, it would be a “breaking point” for the American public who “would not stand for it.”

“I’m not sure the public would stand for it,” Trump said during an interview with Fox News’ Will Cain, Rachel Campos-Duffy and Pete Hegseth that aired Sunday morning. “I think it’d be tough for the public to take. At a certain point, there’s a breaking point.”

The former president and presumptive GOP nominee was found guilty on 34 counts for falsifying business…
