It’s 2023. Student Loan Debt Payments Are Still Paused.
So why not cancel it?
Ah, leave it to none other than Nina Turner to take every opportunity she can to make an excellent point. The woman’s entire Twitter feed is a master class on staying on message, focused, and keeping the conversation going no matter what other distractions or problems might be going on. Truly, no one does it better and today was no exception.
Earlier today, Turner tweeted:
“2023 is officially the FOURTH calendar year that student debt payments have been paused. If they can be paused that long, they should be canceled.”
Only Nina Turner would ring in the New Year by using her platform to remind her followers of that fact, and it’s impossible not to appreciate her for it.
Obviously, she is correct. It’s incredible that student loan payments have been paused for as long as they have, and our politicians are still unwilling or unable to accept what at this point is likely inevitable:
No one is going to want to be the one to restart them.
At this point, the Democratic Party knows it’s political suicide, especially if the Supreme Court strikes down Biden’s executive order…
