It Looked Like Sen. McConnell May Have Had a Ministroke on Camera.
I’ll never understand why these lawmakers don’t just retire.
Our politicians here in the United States are…old, in general. There’s just no denying it. Our President is 80 years old. Nancy Pelosi who also happens to be in her 80s only recently stepped down from her role as Speaker of the House and is still serving in congress. Diane Feinstein is 90 years old and representing California, the most populous state in the entire country.
She was out of work due to illness for months and didn’t even remember.
Well of course, now there’s senate minority leader Mitch McConnell to add to the list of aging elected officials whose concerning health is now in the spotlight.
It almost looked as though he had a ministroke on camera, and the video is frankly a little bit disturbing. In the middle of his news conference, McConnell simply froze. He stopped speaking for a solid thirty seconds or so and was simply staring off into space before being escorted away from the podium and out of sight of the cameras. Apparently, he returned a few minutes later and insisted he was fine.
I work in a nursing home. I’ve had a resident die of a seizure right in front of me where she looked like that. I’ve also seen…
