Is Trump Really Anti-Abortion?
Spoiler alert: definitely not.
Say what you will about Donald Trump, but even some of the harshest of critics probably can’t genuinely deny that he is an excellent campaigner. Needless to say, he knows how to get people talking and keep his base interested. The man wears his shamelessness on his sleeve and that’s what they love about him. They don’t care what comes out of his mouth so long as that demeanor and the bravado and the charisma continues. All that being said, it’s impossible not to listen to him every once in a while talking about a certain issue and immediately being aware that he doesn’t mean a word of it.
Abortion, for instance, would be one of those issues.
CSPAN aired some recent comments, where the former President said:
“I will stand proudly in defense of innocent life, just as I did for four very powerful strong years. Because every child born and unborn is a sacred gift from god…”
Yeah, um…lies.
There is absolutely no chance that Trump cares at all about abortion outside of what it means to his election chances. He’s not against abortion, and he’s not for it either. He simply does not care. It’s just messaging. And…
