Is This Finally the Moment for AOC?
I think the time for the New York lawmaker to take a step forward is here.
I’l be the first to admit it’s been hard to find the silver linings lately.
I do my best to. I really, really do. I can’t allow myself to get into the headspace that there’s no hope because I know that does nothing for anyone and it’s the least productive mentality to be in. But I-and I’m sure countless others-would be lying to themselves if they didn’t admit that it was getting increasingly more difficult, quite literally by the day, to maintain any sense of optimism about the future.
But, I think I may have found one…

“An estimated 34,000 people gathered Friday evening at Civic Center Park in Denver to hear Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York push a number of progressive policies.
Just hours later, they spoke before a crowd of about 11,000 at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.
The two stops for the progressive leaders in Colorado were part of what they dubbed the “Fighting Oligarchy Tour.”
“They want to know if the people of America are going to stand up to Trumpism, oligarchy,” Sanders said to a cheering crowd.
The tour is part of an effort by Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez to push back against President Trump and the influence that they say billionaires have over American politics…”
I could go on and on about Bernie Sanders, and what he has meant to my feelings on politics, how he shaped my outlook, and how much I respect him for dedicating his entire career to legitimately trying to do what’s best for the American people. No politician is perfect, but Bernie Sanders is one of the only ones in power who I feel like genuinely means well in Washington.
But, this isn’t really about him…
It’s about the woman he’s hosting his rallies with.
