In South Carolina, Lawmakers Want the Death Penalty For Abortion.

They do not care at all about life.

Of all the false right wing narratives that they attempt to push, there are few that genuinely bother me more than their claim that they are “pro life” and frankly, it’s gotten to the point where I wonder if I should even bother pointing out the reasons why. Whether it’s their valuation of a clump of cells over the living, breathing human being over them, or their firm opposition to virtually every single policy that might make life in this country a little bit easier, I have absolutely no patience for this “pro life”, anti-choice chatter.

But of course, leave it to the right wing lawmaker to remind us of just how vile, dangerous, and evil they can be.

Rebecca Shabad with NBC News writes:

“South Carolina Republicans are pushing legislation that would make a person who undergoes an abortion subject to the state’s homicide laws, which include the death penalty.

The South Carolina Prenatal Equal Protection Act would “ensure that an unborn child who is a victim of homicide is afforded equal protection under the homicide laws of the state.” The bill would define a “person” as an “unborn child at every stage of development from fertilization until birth.”
