Imagine if Joe Biden Was as Strong as Donald Trump.

Except, he actually used the strength for the good of the country.

As many on the left have pointed out before, if there was one thing at all that Donald Trump is good at, it’s personal branding. He sticks his finger in the wind, takes the tone, and was able to resonate with the populist sentiment among the right wing in a way that no one can genuinely deny. His marketing ability and the seemingly undaunted devotion he enjoys from the right wing base has resulted in a hold over GOP lawmakers that remains nearly as strong today as it was at the height of his Presidency, even after he has left office. With Donald Trump dictating the tactics of the Republican party and by extension the Biden Presidency as well considering Democrats continue to “reach out” to the GOP, one can’t help imagining what things would be like if Joe Biden was as strong as Donald Trump.

Trump has the Republican party in the palm of his hand. All it takes is the threat of a primary challenge and public condemnation of one of the elected officials in his party — even Mitch McConnell — to get them cowering, ready and willing to lick his boots. Who can forget during the 2016 primary when he called Ted Cruz’s wife ugly, and ultimately ended up phone banking for him and becoming one of his most ardent defenders still to…
