If Someone on the Left Said Just Half of What Marjorie Greene Says.

Could you imagine if the shoe was on the other foot?

Marjorie Greene is a fascist.

And unfortunately, we’ve reached the point where she and people like her no longer feel the need to even attempt to hide it. Lately it’s been one comment after another coming from her, continuously escalating and drawing a headline that serves as a reminder that we cannot afford to ignore her.

Don’t get me wrong. I would love to ignore Marjorie Greene. She represents the very worst of us and there’s absolutely no denying all she cares about is power and relevance. But she is one of the most powerful people in the party considering her proficiency in fundraising, and that leaves us no choice but to discuss her antics. At least, every once in a while.

Well now, Greene has weighed in further on her idea of a national “divorce” between red and blue states. Discussing the hypotheticals with Charlie Kirk and elaborating further on how she would like liberals to be treated in red states, she said:

“You don’t get to vote for 5 years. You don’t get to bring your values.”

Imagine if a liberal said this.

Just imagine what would happen.

If a liberal approached the right wing with this kind of attitude, the backlash would be incredible. It has been years, but you’ll still find Trump supporting right wingers on social media who haven’t forgotten that Hillary Clinton called them “deplorable” in 2016.

If AOC were to publicly say that she didn’t think right wingers who moved to liberal states should be allowed to vote for five years because we don’t want their “values”, we all know the pressure for her to resign from her position would be constant. We also know that the Democrats — being what they are — would likely fold. We all know that Marjorie Greene won’t face any significant, sustained backlash from party leadership.

And then there’s the fact that given what the GOP’s base is, if AOC had said it her life would likely be in danger.

I think the reason this grabbed my attention is because I’m just so sick and tired of the uneven playing field. I’m so sick of the sense of entitlement that comes from conservatives like Marjorie Greene. I’m so sick of the “this is our country” mentality, and the notion that we’re just here out of the goodness of their hearts. That’s what they’d like to believe, isn’t it? It goes back to the constantly mentality of victimhood among the GOP as well. People on the left are simply inconveniences and a problem first and foremost. Human beings with thoughts and values second.

We’re undeserving of the same rights they enjoy in their eyes, and they don’t hesitate to let us know.
