If Andrew Cuomo Were to Lose the New York City Mayoral Race.

The implications of this election has the potential to send a loud and clear message.

Even if you don’t live in New York City, you may have noticed that the largest city in the United States is currently in the midst of electing their next Mayor. Of course, you may have also heard that none other than disgraced former Governor Andrew Cuomo is running for the job.

Of course he is.

I mean, is anyone really surprised?

People who crave and are used to having positions of power just can’t help themselves, no matter what their history tells us they have done they will still do what they can to find more. That said, his victory is far from a guarantee and if he fails, it’s certainly worth noting what it could mean not just for the city of New York, but the Democratic Party overall.

David Sirota summed it up best on social media, writing:

“Cuomo losing would be the first time in generations that any Establishment Dem was held accountable & rejected by voters for objectively horrible behavior. Dem voters have been allergic to holding elite Dems…
