I Have Never Missed Senator Bernie Sanders More Than I Do Right Now.

Let’s talk about why.

The past few days have been…a lot.

It’s honestly hard for me to say that, because I cannot imagine what the people who are actually living through what’s happening with Gaza feel. But, the fact that the President of the United States has just come out an said he wants to fully engage in ethnic cleansing and force all of these people from the land that has been their homeland for thousands upon thousands of years…what can you even see.

But as time slowly moves on and we all process this information and all of the ramifications, I’ve found myself missing Bernie Sanders even more than I already did.

Why?

Because at the time I actually had hope, and I know without a doubt that I’m not the only one who feels that way.

Now, if we’re being honest, if I said everything I wanted to I would probably get banned from all public platforms.

Senator Bernie Sanders was the first politician that genuinely made me feel optimistic about the future of this country. It felt like there was something to cling to. Possibilities. Good things to come. There are no words to describe how refreshing it was to have a politician who, while he wasn’t perfect, genuinely…
