I disagree. The way I see it, any candidate who promised “nothing will fundamentally change” when 50 trillion dollars has been stolen from the bottom 90% deserves some blame.
I don’t disagree that there are some people who would follow Trump to the depths of destruction no matter what, and that’s a terrifying thought. But I think we also have to understand that a lot of people are just angry, and Trump has harnessed that anger and re-directed it to his own benefit. Joe Biden should do a better job of combatting that. Donald Trump is a product of the system that has made people so angry, but Joe Biden can’t acknowledge that because he’s been part of it for almost 50 years.
