I always love your condescending, holier than thou attitude while you ignore so many of my points. It’s always a nice reminder for why I ignore you the vast majority of the time. I don’t have their “responsibility” so I can’t possibly understand or have an opinion on what they should do and why? An opinion that is based on what we constantly see happen? F off and spare me with that condescending, elitist bull. You do realize I’m not the only one pushing for them to get concessions or walk, right? If they can get MORE to benefit their constituents, why don’t they?! The onus of concessions is ALWAYS put on progressives. They’re always expected to bend, and then do the dirty work for the party and sell it to their base on top of it, even when they didn’t get the vast majority of what they wanted and their base knows it. If they still bow their heads and cave even when they do not have to, they lose any and all credibility. And please, don’t talk to me about “next year” or upcoming elections. I don’t want to f*cking hear it. We have been waiting for things like lowering prescription drug prices and a $15 minimum wage for over a decade, and it is DEMOCRATS standing in the way. If progressives have the power to get concessions but refuse to do so, then it sets a precedent and their negotiating leverage is over. It’s not rocket science, and I don’t have to be a politician myself to understand that. By the way, the cofounder of Justice Democrats, the org that literally got them elected, is also using his massive platform and network to call for them to get concessions or walk, and a LOT more aggressively than I am. So don’t treat me like I’m too stupid or naive to understand this.
