How Sen. Bernie Sanders is Passing the Torch.
This nationwide tour with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is about many things, and establishing the future of his movement is one of them.
I suppose we should begin by reiterating the fact that no politician is perfect, nor will they ever be. That being said, there’s always going to be a level of respect and admiration for Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, and how much I have come to love what he has represented and stood for overall throughout his political career. What happened to him during and in the aftermath of both the primary campaigns in his runs for the Presidency will probably taint and sour my view on the Democratic Party for the rest of my life. It was a slap in the face, and a reminder that at the end of the day, the money and the establishment rule all. It jaded me in ways I will never forget and yet, years later, here we are with Bernie Sanders well into his twilight years and at the end of his political career still fighting for the same things.
As many have probably seen and heard by now, senator Sanders is on tour with congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
