Hours Before Manchin and Sinema Sunk Voting Rights, Biden Was Taking a Dig at Bernie Sanders.

As virtually anyone who follows the news at all has heard by now, Senators Manchin and Sinema decided to humiliate President Biden and join the GOP in order to squash any chance of passing voting rights legislation for the foreseeable future. Of course, it isn’t the first time the President has allowed himself to be slapped around by members of his own party who have taken it upon themselves to squash what is theoretically his agenda. They killed not only the $15 minimum wage provision in the Covid relief bill, but even went so far as to squash his entire social policy agenda. An agenda that was literally named after his campaign slogan.

Ah, but even a year in, nothing about Biden’s approach has changed. In fact, mere hours before Senators Manchin and Sinema decided to humiliate him once again and vote against changing the filibuster to pass voting rights, who was the President taking a dig at during a press conference? None other than Bernie Sanders.

Because of course he was.

At the conference, Biden made a point of stating that he was not trying to pull the country to the left and did not leave it at that. In response to a question about the topic, Biden answered with:
