Have Democrats Gotten Too Comfortable?

It’s certainly beginning to feel that way.

It’s no secret that while I’ve been clear that it’s far from a guarantee, I’ve been fairly confident in the idea that Democrats can win this upcoming election. The momentum shift following Kamala Harris replacing Joe Biden was more palpable than even any of those who had been pounding the table for it could have possibly imagined. Of course, the debate performance certainly did Donald Trump no favors, either. He willingly and readily took whatever bait Harris had to offer, and it was almost as surreal as it was amusing to watch.

Smooth sailing, right?

I don’t know…maybe it’s just my overthinking, but I’m beginning to get nervous about it.

Are Democrats getting too comfortable?

If we’re being honest, there are some indicators that that’s the case.

Jacob Magid with The Times of Israel writes:

“US Vice President Kamala Harris on Sunday defended US security assistance to Israel, but also said the Biden administration would not halt its pressure on Jerusalem for an end to the fighting.

“The aid that we have given Israel allowed Israel to defend itself against 200 ballistic missiles that were just meant to attack the people of Israel,”…
