Governor Cuomo Made $5 Million From His Covid Book.
No matter what scandal his administration has faced, he continues to be able to line his pockets.
As frustrated as Democratic lawmakers like Joe Manchin or Kyrsten Sinema might make me, there are few who thoroughly disgust me more than my own Governor Andrew Cuomo, particularly after the scandals his administration has faced in recent months. Considering the fact that I work in a nursing home and witnessed firsthand how this virus affected the elderly and my coworkers, it should go without saying that the story regarding the Cuomo administration’s deliberate cover up of the nursing home death toll has felt more personal than arguably any other. So of course, the news that Cuomo’s tax returns revealed he made over $5 million dollars on his book parading his supposedly stellar leadership throughout the pandemic has felt like a slap in the face.
The news was revealed at the same time his administration is being investigated for whether or not it used state resources to write the book.
At the very same time Cuomo was allegedly having his aides write his self-serving book for him, his administration was actively covering up the death toll in nursing homes under his leadership, and he went on to make millions.
