GOP Senator Mike Braun Just Said Interracial Marriage Should Have Been Left Up to the States.

They’re getting more comfortable allowing the brazen racism to show.

Even before Donald Trump won the GOP Presidential nomination in 2016, there was talk of the fact that his racist, xenophobic rhetoric that was met with a rise in the polls from the Republican base would mean that racists within the right wing base would become more embolden.

To say that has proven to be true would frankly be a gross understatement.

While the examples we’ve seen play out from his base over the past six or seven years feel too numerous to even mention, but it’s unsurprisingly come from his fellow lawmakers as well and recently, there was an incredibly disturbing example of it from Indiana Senator Mike Braun.

“Sen. Mike Braun (R-Ind.) said Tuesday that he would be open to the Supreme Court overturning its 1967 ruling that legalized interracial marriage nationwide to allow states to independently decide the issue.
