Even IF They Win This Battle, We’ll Still Win the War.
Iowa reaffirmed everything I despise about the Democratic Party, but they have no idea what they’re dealing with.
Whether it was “quality control” concerns, the crash of the app designed to report precinct results, or the Buttigieg campaign with ties to the company that developed the app declaring him the victor in the aftermath, the Iowa caucus was an absolute embarrassment. Going to bed with persistent chest pain at just nearly twenty five years old because of the high blood pressure I experienced throughout the evening was the cherry on top of a miserable night. A night that reaffirmed everything I have come to despise about the Democratic Party and the DNC.
I do not care to rehash exactly what happened again. We’re watching in real time as our democratic process dies in the daylight. I do not care to go over once more all the ways that the process broke down last night. All I know is that in no uncertain terms, at the end of the day what’s going on in Iowa has only increased my anger, and made me even more motivated.
