“Election Fraud” is All Trump’s Got.
Politically and personally, Trump will die on this hill.
I wish we never had to discuss Donald Trump again. I would like nothing more than to just put his four years as President behind us, and let him become nothing more than a memory no longer worth mentioning. Unfortunately however, considering he is almost inevitably going to be running for President once again a little over a year from now, it’s not possible. Every once in a while, I can’t help reflecting on what he represents and by extension, what it means for the GOP and the country overall.
Trump’s next run will likely look very different from his first. Without the power of Twitter and Facebook at his disposal, it’s not going to be as easy to do perhaps the one thing he did best: appeal to and engage with his base.
Of course, that’s likely the biggest reason the overwhelming majority of any press release we see from him or his PACs contain some mention of a rigged election, or fraud. He needs something, doesn’t he? Some tool in his arsenal to keep the base interested in him, and what better way to keep them engaged than to appeal to their anger?
“Election fraud” is all Trump’s got.
Frankly, it’s all his wing of the Republican party has. As the country changes and their party refuses…
