Donald Trump Says the Justice Department Was Ready to Kill Him.
Once again, the former President’s rhetoric is dangerous.
The list of things we could say about former President Donald Trump feel endless and of course, it should come as no surprise that it just keeps on growing. One of the key observations we’ve been able to make throughout the years since he emerged as a top Republican candidate was that he does not have much regard for the weight of his words. Case and point: January 6th, 2020. Evidently though, it’s not exactly surprising that he still continues to prove that he has absolutely learned nothing.
Now, he’s claiming the Justice Department tried to kill him.

“On social media and in a Tuesday fundraising email, Donald Trump raised an alarming concern. The Department of Justice, he said, was ready to kill him.
The wild distortion came against the backdrop of Trump’s hush-money trial in New York and amid fears of rising political violence around the coming presidential election, predominantly from the far right. The comments cement an inverted picture Trump and his allies have painted, in which a patriotic Trump is pitted against anti-democratic deep-state foes.
