Did the Assassination Attempt Solidify Another Term For Donald Trump?

I can’t help wondering how it’s going to impact the election, if at all.

Well, tonight is the night that the general election really starts to officially begin. The Republican convention will start tonight in Milwaukee, we will soon be finding out who the GOP running mate will be, and itjust so happens to be in the aftermath of an assassination attempt of their presumptive nominee and former President Donald Trump. As we still wait to find out what exactly the motive was behind this assassination attempt, I can’t help wondering what the effect on the election is going to be.

Not long after the attempt took place, there was a laundry list of people on social media speculating, and justifiably so, that this event could essentially seal the deal for a second term for Trump.

Personally, it wouldn’t surprise me.

Of course, I’m not under the impression that there are a whole lot of genuinely undecided voters out there in this election. At this point, I think people have an idea of where they’re actually leaning. At least likely voters do. But, could it embolden Trump voters? Could it encourage more Republicans to turn out and vote? Will unlikely voters find themselves more sympathetic?
