DeSantis is Now Aiming For Control of Florida’s High School Athletics.
The man knows how to consolidate power.
Given the buzz that’s been circulating his potential 2024 Presidential run long before it was even announced, it should come as no surprise that a considerable amount of attention has been paid to how Governor Ron DeSantis is handling his position of power in the state of Florida. While many still widely consider Trump the odds on favorite to win the Republican nomination, DeSantis’ mannerisms and the way he has been able to flex his power has drawn a considerable amount of appreciation from his base. He’s sitting in second place in virtually every single Republican poll, and the effectiveness with which he is able to get what he wants is largely the reason.
Now, in yet another incredibly disturbing twist, Florida is moving to give the Governor’s office increased control of the state’s high school athletics.
