Cuomo’s Comments About His Accusers Are Telling.

The Governor’s tone has certainly changed since the scandal began.

It wasn’t long ago that New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo was on the precipice of being forced to step down, with an administration facing scandals related not only to his handling of the Covid-19 pandemic in nursing homes, but nine women coming forward to show a pattern of sexual misconduct from Cuomo as well. After Biden swooped in to say that the investigation should play out, pressure for the Governor to step down fizzled almost as quickly as it began. But that hasn’t stopped the Cuomo from making some incredibly revealing comments concerning his attitude towards these women.

At his first press conference in months, Cuomo said his accusers “just want attention”, and when asked about the dozens backing up their claims, he dismissed it as people being “jealous”. His response has certainly shifted since the early days of the accusations, where he said he may have made some misinterpreted jokes, and it’s been incredibly telling of his character to watch how he has handled these allegations ever since.

First he’s sorry, now they’re lying?

Cuomo’s response reeks of a man who has been used to wielding power with an iron fist, believing he himself is the law as opposed to being…
