Could a Democrat Really Beat Sen. Ted Cruz in Texas?

It’s not exactly likely, but the gap is certainly narrowing.

When it comes to the elections in particular, Texas is a fascinating state.

It hasn’t felt quite within reach for Democrats and it’s oftentimes a state that while they always try and put up a competitive race considering how close it is, it’s never felt quite within reach. That being said, it’s felt as though it’s only a matter of time before Democrats finally win that state. Texas has always felt well within reach, and one could point to it as part of the reason why there’s such a sense of urgency with Republicans in recent elections. They know when they lose a state like Texas, their chances of winning national elections are incredibly slim.

So, how are things going right now?

Could Democrats actually upset Ted Cruz, and perhaps win a Senate seat in the state of Texas?

“Republicans may be in for a surprise in Texas this November, according to voter registration data that shows the Lone Star State has seen a surge of new voters since 2018…

…Cruz, meanwhile, has turned to begging for help in his own reelection campaign against Democratic challenger…
