Big Pharma is Weighing in on Nina Turner’s Congressional Race.

It’s not just corporate Democrats. Apparently the pharmaceutical industry has decided there’s a lot at stake in Ohio’s 11th as well.

It’s no surprise that a lot of people have had their eyes on the special election in Ohio’s 11th congressional district. After Marsha Fudge was nominated to serve in Biden’s cabinet, the path was cleared for none other than former Ohio State Senator, Bernie Sanders national campaign co-chair and top political advisor Nina Turner to run for the seat in a district she knows very well. Clearly, whatever Nina’s doing is working, because it wasn’t long ago that she released polling data showing she had a staggering 50% of the support among likely voters in the district. Her closest competitor, Shontel Brown, was at 15%.

Leave it to Hillary Clinton to come in and endorse Shontel Brown.

While the endorsement at the time seemed to be made out of nothing but spite and gave us reason to believe it might be the kiss of death for the campaign of Nina’s competitor as it was for Elliot Engel against Justice Democrat Jamaal Bowman, it’s certainly worth noting that the endorsement garnered the attention of everyone that Clinton hoped it would.
