Of course, Democrats haven’t learned their lesson.

Well, it was nice while it lasted right?

In an unfortunate, unsurprising move, Democrats seem to have decided that they are going to be resuming student loan debt payments that have long been paused due to the pandemic.

Julia Shapero with The Hill writes:

“Education Secretary Miguel Cardona confirmed this week that the Department of Education is preparing to restart student loan payments later this year.

“The emergency period is over, and we’re preparing our borrowers to restart,” Cardona said at a Senate Appropriations hearing on Thursday, as the national COVID-19 public health emergency was set to expire at midnight…”

The article went on to state that the Biden administration expects to resume student loan repayments no later than 60 days after June 30th.

No reason to do it, but they’re going to anyways.

There are few constants in American politics more reliable than the Democratic Party doubling down and refusing to learn their lessons, are there? For corporate Democrats and Republicans alike and arguably even more importantly the donors who fund them, there is no greater cardinal sin than actually…
