Biden Was Asked About His Promise to Cancel Student Loan Debt. He Ignored the Question.

I’m not surprised.

Lets just put it this way: Biden and the Democratic party had a lot to say during the campaign season, particularly during the general election and leading up to the Senatorial race in Georgia. Of course, why wouldn’t they? Clearly, they were savvy enough to know that a message of passing voting rights, raising wages, and — in Biden’s case — cancelling at least up to $10,000 in student loan debt was a winning one.

Too bad he abandoned it, so why not take the liberty to remind people that now would be the perfect time for Biden to use his executive authority as President — which he has already done in select cases — to cancel student loan debt?

Obviously I am far from the only one who has found themselves wondering about this forgotten promise, and Biden was asked by a reporter about cancelling student loan debt.

He ignored them.

Ayelet Sheffey with Business Insider writes:

“…At the end of a nearly two-hour press conference on Wednesday, in which Biden was asked about a range of issues from voting rights to foreign policy, a reporter wrapped up the conference with what she said were “two very simple questions.”
