It should go without saying that I — and countless others as well — have been growing increasingly frustrated with the unnecessary gridlock in congress. Things have only continued to grow more tense in recent days following a number of comments or incidents involving Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema. Frankly, listening to Manchin express his concern about Americans becoming entitled as he sits on millions in profits from investments in dirty coal while holding up fundamentally necessary climate legislation was difficult to stomach.

Of course, Senator Sinema hasn’t been able to escape the frustrations of the public either, and was followed into a restroom by her constituents who were hoping to speak to her about immigration legislation that she has been holding up. Needless to say, Kyrsten Sinema didn’t appreciate it and neither did the liberal pundit class who rose to her defense, calling it “wholly inappropriate”.

The thing is, if Senator Sinema made herself at all accessible to her constituents, they probably wouldn’t feel the need to follow her into a bathroom.
