Bernie Sanders is Calling For a Four Day Work Week.
And it’s about time.
No politician is perfect, but there’s absolutely no denying that Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is consistently way ahead of his colleagues. As he stepped into the national spotlight following his run for President in 2016, Bernie has often embraced his role in shaping the narrative and unapologetically advocating for policies like Medicare For All.
Now, Bernie has addressed the concept of a four day workweek.
His Twitter account posted:
“With exploding technology and increased worker productivity, it’s time to move toward a four-day work week with no loss of pay. Workers must benefit from technology, not just corporate CEOs…”
Attached to the tweet was an article from The Washington Post about a four day work week trial in the UK that was the largest of its kind, with dozens of companies and thousands of employees participating. Annabelle Timsit wrote:
