She can’t beat Trump, and big money interests are turning their backs.
As we’ve all heard by now, former President Donald Trump beat Nikki Haley in her own state of South Carolina in his bid to once again secure the GOP nomination. Of course, we all know what this means. Donald Trump is one step closer to securing the nomination that has always felt as though it was his to lose from the beginning, and Nikki Haley is finished. To be sure, Haley has insisted she’s staying in the race at least through Super Tuesday. Nevertheless, those funding her campaign seem to see the writing on the wall no matter what she says.

“Americans For Prosperity Action, the powerful conservative group supporting Nikki Haley in the Republican presidential primary, will no longer spend money on behalf of her campaign.
In an email to staff obtained by POLITICO, Americans For Prosperity CEO Emily Seidel said Sunday that the group’s political arm, AFP Action, had to “take stock” of its spending priorities after Haley’s loss in the South Carolina primary.
