Are Democrats a Little Too Confident Heading into 2024?

It’s beginning to look like they might be

If there’s one conclusion from the upcoming election we can come to so far, it’s that it’s shaping up to be every bit as much of a train wreck as the last general election was. I mean, Mike Pence of all people is jumping into the ring for whatever reason, and then you have Ron DeSantis who is simply flinging things at the wall in search of something that sticks in order to attempt to gain some traction against Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, Democrats are sitting pretty. Comfortable as can be. So confident. As of right now Joe Biden is definitely running again, and it’s being treated as almost a foregone conclusion that he will be re-elected. Frankly, it’s not difficult to settle into that mindset. Trump’s facing two indictments after all, and it’s looking like a train wreck.

But are Democrats getting a little too comfortable?

Unfortunately, polling would suggest that they are. According to a recent poll of over 2,000 registered voters conducted by Harvard, Trump is leading Biden by 6 points and DeSantis is leading Biden by 1 point.

…Yikes.
