Apparently the GOP is Grateful for Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema.
They certainly make the job easier for Republicans, don’t they?
I and many others on the left have certainly been addressing Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema a lot lately, and undeniably for good reason. With time quickly running out for Democrats to get anything meaningful done besides the covid relief bill before lawmakers settle in to midterm election campaign season, it’s been nothing less than infuriating to see two Democrats happily become the face of an obstructionist movement within the party. An obstructionist movement that many were able to see coming before Democrats even took control, whether it be in regards to filibuster reform, a $15 minimum wage, or an infrastructure bill as robust as we require.
And of course, Republicans are grateful.
In fact, there is video evidence of Republicans saying it themselves.
Recently Representative Andy Biggs of Arizona’s fifth district was filmed speaking to a group, where he said:
