Apparently the American People Just Don’t Care About This Upcoming Election.
And I’m not exactly surprised.
We’re already almost through the month of April, and the 2024 election is swiftly approaching. Election campaigns are in full swing, and the American people are getting the election they never wanted in the first place: a rematch between Donald Trump and Joe Biden. There’s certainly merit to the idea that this is an incredibly important election, given everything that is objectively at stake. That’s all we hear about, right?
And maybe that’s why the American people are just…tired.
Mark Murray and Sarah Dean with NBC writes:
“The share of voters who say they have high interest in the 2024 election has hit a nearly 20-year low at this point in a presidential race, according to the latest national NBC News poll, with majorities holding negative views of both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.
The poll also shows Biden trimming Trump’s previous lead to just 2 points in a head-to-head contest, an improvement within the margin of error compared to the previous survey, as Biden bests Trump on the issues of abortion and uniting the country, while Trump is ahead on competency and dealing with inflation…”
