Apparently Arizona isn’t Impressed with Senator Sinema.

Her voters are taking notice of the obstructionism.

Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema. | M. Scott Mahaskey/POLITICO

It’s certainly no secret that I have taken issue with Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema for reasons that are too numerous to mention. Of course, there’s her opposition to killing the filibuster, she didn’t even show up to vote for the establishment of the January 6th commission, and who can forget the day she showed up to the Senate floor, tapped Mitch McConnell on the shoulder to get his attention, and gleefully voting down an amendment for a $15 minimum wage dressed like she was the star of the movie Clueless?

Apparently, the state of Arizona is taking notice as well, and it doesn’t appear as though it’s to the Senator’s benefit.

A recent piece in CNN began with introducing Alejandra Gomez, who was one of the organizers on the ground who dedicated her time and labor to getting Democrats elected in the state of Arizona, including Senator Sinema. The Senator who Gomez evidently refers to as the wolf in sheep’s clothing. When discussing the Senator, Gomez said:

“What has happened is a complete slap in the face to our members, to the work they have done and to the change that they are trying to make in our communities. If she is not part of the solution, she is part of the problem. And what we are seeing is that she is touting herself as a bipartisan leader, but we have yet to see where the bipartisanship stands. She has done nothing.”

After addressing the fact that liberal groups are looking for a better alternative to Sinema, Dan Merica and Kyung Lah quoted Gomez again in their piece on CNN, writing:

“We are prepared to support a viable candidate that is ready to actually stand for our communities,” Gomez said. When asked if challenging Sinema was worth the risk of losing the seat to a Republican, Gomez didn’t flinch. “We already have a Republican in that seat,” she said.

Ouch.

Sinema, of course, declined to comment.
